The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the exam dates for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2025. Candidates who have applied can now mark their calendars, as the computer-based test (CBT) will be held in multiple shifts from 20 September to 24 October 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for SSC MTS 2025, candidates must meet the following conditions:

 

Educational Qualification – Passed Class 10 (Matriculation) or equivalent from a recognized board by the cut-off date specified in the notification.

 

Nationality – Candidate must be an Indian citizen, or subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or as per SSC’s nationality guidelines.

 

 

 

 

Age Limit

For MTS (General posts):

18–25 years (Candidate must not be born before 02/08/2000 and not later than 01/08/2007)

 

For Havaldar & some MTS posts:

18–27 years (Candidate must not be born before 02/08/1998 and not later than 01/08/2007)

 

 

Age Relaxation (as per government norms):

 

  • SC/ST – 5 years
  • OBC – 3 years
  • PwD – 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen – as per SSC rules

 

 

 

Selection Process for SSC MTS & Havaldar 2025

The selection process differs slightly for MTS and Havaldar posts:

 

For MTS (Non-Technical):

1. Paper I (Computer-Based Test) – Objective type questions (General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, English, General Awareness)

 

2. Final Selection – Based on CBT scores and document verification

 

 

For Havaldar (CBIC & CBN):

1. Paper I (Computer-Based Test)

2. PET/PST (Physical Efficiency Test / Physical Standard Test) – Qualifying in nature

 

Male: Walking 1600 meters in 15 minutes; Female: Walking 1 km in 20 minutes

 

Height & Chest measurements as per SSC standards

 

 

3. Final Selection – Based on CBT + PET/PST + document verification

 

 

 

Exam Pattern (Paper I – CBT)

Mode: Online (Computer-Based)

Duration: 90 minutes

Type: Multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
