Limited to Just 360 Units Globally: Maserati MCPura's ₹2 Crore+ Price Tag Makes It India's Most Exclusive Supercar

Italian luxury automaker Maserati has officially launched the highly anticipated MCPura supercar in India, positioning it as one of the country’s most exclusive performance machines. With prices starting at ₹4.12 crore for the coupe and ₹5.12 crore for the convertible Cielo variant (ex-showroom), the Maserati MCPura represents the pinnacle of Italian craftsmanship and racing pedigree.

Ultra-Rare Production Numbers

What truly sets the Maserati MCPura apart is its exceptional rarity. The Italian marque has confirmed severely limited production, with only 120 numbered units allocated for the United States and merely 10 examples for Canada. Industry experts estimate global production across all markets, including India, will be capped at approximately 360 units, making the MCPura one of the most exclusive supercars available worldwide.

This strategic scarcity elevates the Maserati MCPura into rarified territory, competing directly with limited-edition offerings from Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren. For Indian automotive enthusiasts and collectors, securing one of these Made-in-Modena masterpieces represents not just a purchase, but an investment in automotive history.

Pure Performance Without Compromise

Unlike hybrid rivals such as the Ferrari 296 GTB, the Maserati MCPura embraces pure combustion philosophy. At its heart lies the legendary 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged Nettuno V6 engine, entirely developed in-house by Maserati. This remarkable powerplant generates an impressive 621 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 720 Nm of torque, channeling power exclusively to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Performance figures are spectacular. The Maserati MCPura rockets from 0-100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, with both variants achieving top speeds exceeding 320 km/h. The engine incorporates Formula 1-derived pre-chamber combustion technology, showcasing Maserati’s deep motorsport heritage.

Design and Interior Excellence

The Maserati MCPura showcases refined aerodynamic enhancements developed with Dallara, Italy’s premier race car manufacturer. The car features a redesigned front grille, new splitter, enlarged air intakes, and revised bumpers. Signature butterfly doors provide dramatic entry, while the lightweight carbon-fiber monocoque chassis ensures exceptional performance at just 1,500 kg kerb weight.

Inside, Maserati has significantly upgraded the cabin with premium Alcantara Ice seats featuring laser-etched Trident emblems with iridescent red-blue backing. A redesigned GT2-inspired steering wheel, twin 10.25-inch displays with Android-based infotainment, and MCPura-specific badging reinforce the car’s exclusive nature.

Stunning Colour Options

The Maserati MCPura debuts in India wearing the show-stopping AI Aqua Rainbow finish, an exclusive shade that creates a mesmerizing rainbow effect under sunlight. Additional options include Devil Orange, Grigio Incognito, Nero Essenza, Bianco Audace, Blu Infinito, and more through Maserati’s Fuoriserie customization program.

Competitive Pricing Strategy

Interestingly, the Maserati MCPura Cielo is priced ₹19 lakh less than the previous MC20 Cielo, which launched at ₹5.31 crore. This makes the MCPura remarkably competitive within India’s ultra-luxury supercar segment, offering genuine Italian heritage and extreme exclusivity at an attractive price point.

With deliveries commencing globally in December 2025, the Maserati MCPura stands poised to become the ultimate collector’s acquisition. Its combination of limited production numbers, pure combustion performance, and quintessentially Italian design ensures this will be remembered as one of Maserati’s finest achievements—potentially one of the last naturally aspirated supercars from Modena before electrification transforms the automotive landscape forever.
