CBSE Announces Exam Form Submission Dates for Class 10 and 12 Private Candidates: Eligibility and How to apply 

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially opened the online registration process for Class 10 and 12 private candidates appearing in the 2025-26 board examinations. The application window commenced on September 9, 2025, providing students ample time to apply under various categories, including private candidates, essential repeat, compartment, and improvement of performance.

 

 

 

📝 Application Timeline

 

• Normal Registration Period: September 9 to September 30, 2025
• Late Fee Registration Period: October 3 to October 11, 2025

✅ Eligibility Criteria

 

Private candidates eligible to apply include:

 

Students declared as “Essentially Repeat” in the 2025 examination results.

 

Candidates placed in a compartment in the Board’s Main and Supplementary Examinations 2025.

 

Candidates who were declared Fail/Essential Repeat in previous years (2020–2025).

 

Students who passed out in the 2024-25 session and wish to re-appear to improve their performance in one or more subjects. 

 

 

💳 Application Fee

 

• Standard Fee: ₹320 per subject.
• Late Fee: ₹2,000 (applicable during the late fee registration period).

2. Navigate to the “Private Candidates Exam Form 2025” link.

 

3. Select your category (Compartment/Improvement/Private).

 

4. Enter previous exam details such as roll number, year, and region.

 

5. Fill in the application form with personal and subject details.

 

6. Upload scanned photograph and signature as per specifications.

 

7. Pay the exam fee online using debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.
