UP PGT Exam Postponed AGAIN: 5th Delay Leaves Thousands of Aspirants in Limbo – What's Next?

In yet another setback for teaching aspirants, the UP PGT exam postponed announcement has left thousands of candidates frustrated and uncertain about their future. The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Services Selection Board (UPSESSB) has deferred the Post Graduate Teacher examination for the fifth consecutive time, triggering widespread disappointment among hopefuls preparing for months.

Fifth Postponement Shocks Aspirants

The UP PGT exam postponed for October 15-16, 2025, has now been cancelled without clear indication of new dates. Originally scheduled for June 18-19, 2025, the examination was first rescheduled to August-end, then to October, and now faces an indefinite delay. This marks the fifth postponement since the recruitment notification was issued for 624 PGT vacancies under the 2022 notification.

Aspirants who have been preparing rigorously expressed their anguish over the recurring delays. Many candidates have put their careers on hold, invested significant resources in coaching, and now face mounting uncertainty with each postponement announcement.

What Led to Another Delay?

While UPSESSB has not provided detailed reasons for the latest postponement, sources suggest administrative challenges and logistical issues may be responsible. The board has assured candidates that revised exam dates will be announced soon through the official website at http://upsessb.pariksha.nic.in.

The recruitment drive aims to fill 4,163 teaching positions across Uttar Pradesh, including 624 PGT posts and 3,539 TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) positions. Notably, the UP TGT examination was successfully conducted on July 21-22, 2025, as scheduled.

What Should Aspirants Do Now?

Despite the frustrating delays, experts advise candidates to utilize this extended preparation time effectively. Aspirants should:

– Regularly check the official UPSESSB website for updates

– Continue strengthening subject knowledge and exam preparation

– Stay connected with official announcements through newspapers and the board’s portal
