The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB), along with the Department of Pre-University Education (PUE), has released provisional timetables for the SSLC (Class 10) and II PUC (Class 12) examinations for the academic year 2025-26. These tentative dates are designed to help students, teachers, and schools plan preparation, assessments, and exam-related logistics well in advance.

Key Highlights of the New Exam Cycle

Karnataka will continue using the three-exam system for both SSLC and II PUC: Exam 1, Exam 2, and Exam 3. This structure allows students multiple opportunities to perform, with the best score from the exams considered for the final result.

Why This Matters

Clarity & Forethought: Knowing tentative dates well in advance reduces anxiety, helps in time management, and allows students to allocate study hours efficiently.

Aligned Coaching & School Schedules: Institutions can plan revision slots, mock tests and remedial classes around the board’s timetable.

Logistical Planning: Travel, exam centre arrangements, invigilation, and even study materials procurement benefit from a known schedule.

Key Reminders & Alerts

The pass policy and syllabus remain largely consistent, and there is currently no change in the three-exam system despite speculation otherwise.

For science students in II PUC, practical exams are usually scheduled before the theory papers. Provisional notices suggest practicals may begin late in January to early February 2026, for some subjects.

Always verify timings (morning sessions vs. afternoon sessions) and subject codes via official circulars.

Conclusion

With the 2025-26 SSLC and II PUC provisional timetables now released, Karnataka students have a clear roadmap for their board exams. To succeed, early preparation, continuous revision, and staying updated with official communications are vital. Bookmark KSEAB and PUE portals, follow schedule updates, and build your study plan around the earliest exam dates.
