Poco M8s 5G Launched with Massive 7,000mAh Battery and 144Hz Display: Check Price, Specs

Poco M8s 5G Launched: 7,000mAh Battery, 144Hz Display & Price Details
POCO has officially expanded its mid-range portfolio with the global debut of the Poco M8s 5G. Aimed at “power users” who demand longevity and speed, the new device breaks the mold of traditional budget smartphones by introducing a mammoth battery and a high-refresh-rate display that was previously reserved for flagship killers.
Poco M8s 5G: A Battery Powerhouse
The standout feature of the Poco M8s 5G is undoubtedly its 7,000mAh battery. This is one of the largest capacities seen in a 5G-enabled device this year. According to official data from Xiaomi Global, the phone is engineered to last up to two full days on a single charge.
Even at a critical 1% battery level, POCO claims the device can sustain nearly an hour of voice calls. To juice up this giant cell, the phone supports 33W fast charging and, notably, 18W reverse wired charging, allowing it to act as a power bank for other accessories.
Immersive 144Hz Display and Design
On the front, the Poco M8s 5G sports a massive 6.9-inch FHD+ DotDisplay. Breaking away from the industry standard of 120Hz, this model features a 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring ultra-smooth scrolling and a superior gaming experience.
The screen is protected by triple TÜV Rheinland certifications for eye comfort and features Wet Touch Technology 2.0, which allows the screen to remain responsive even if your fingers are wet or oily. The design follows a refined aesthetic with a quad-curved back and a metal-crafted camera deco.
Performance and Camera Capabilities
Under the hood, the Poco M8s 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset. It is available in configurations of up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card.
For photography, the device features:
- Main Camera: 50MP primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture).
- Selfie Camera: 8MP front-facing sensor.
- Video: Support for 1080p recording with AI enhancements.

Price and Availability
While the global rollout has commenced, the Poco M8s 5G is expected to arrive in the Indian market shortly, following the recent launch of the Poco M8 5G earlier this year. In global markets, the base 6GB/128GB variant is priced competitively to sit in the sub-₹20,000 segment (converted), making it a formidable rival to the likes of Samsung and Vivo in the budget-to-mid-range category.
The phone runs on HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, ensuring a modern software experience right out of the box.
