The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has officially opened the registration window for the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) January 2026 session. The ICSI CSEET Jan 2026 exam is scheduled to be held on January 10, 2026, in remote proctored mode. Interested candidates can register online through the official ICSI website at smash.icsi.edu. Who Can Apply?

According to the eligibility criteria, students who have passed or are currently appearing for their Class 12 examinations are eligible to apply for ICSI CSEET Jan 2026. Additionally, undergraduate students pursuing any degree course can also register for this entrance test.

 

Notably, graduates and postgraduates with at least 50% marks, as well as ICAI and ICMAI final course passed students, are exempted from taking the CSEET and can directly register for the CS Executive Programme.

 

 

Exam Pattern and Preparation

The ICSI CSEET Jan 2026 will consist of four papers: Business Communication, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning, Economic and Business Environment, and Current Affairs and Quantitative Aptitude. Each paper carries 50 marks, making it a total of 200 marks. The exam duration is two hours.

 

To qualify, candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and an overall aggregate of 50%. The good news for test-takers is that there is no negative marking.

 

ICSI provides free virtual classes and study materials to all registered candidates to help them prepare effectively for the examination. Mock tests are also conducted before the exam to familiarize students with the test format.
