Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 Delivers 59% Faster Graphics on 4nm Powerhouse

Qualcomm has unveiled the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, marking a significant leap forward for budget smartphone performance. The new chipset brings flagship-grade features to the mid-range segment, promising to redefine what affordable Android devices can achieve in 2025.

Game-Changing Performance Upgrade

Built on Samsung’s advanced 4nm manufacturing process—a first for the 6s series—the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 delivers impressive performance gains over its predecessor. The chipset boasts 36% faster CPU performance and a remarkable 59% improvement in GPU capabilities compared to the previous 6nm-based models. This architectural shift enables better power efficiency while significantly boosting processing speeds for demanding applications.

The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 features an octa-core Kryo CPU configuration, comprising four Cortex-A720-based performance cores clocked at up to 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A520-based efficiency cores running at 1.8GHz. This balanced setup ensures smoother multitasking, faster app launches, and enhanced gaming responsiveness—features typically reserved for premium devices.

Premium Gaming Experience

Gaming enthusiasts will appreciate the chipset’s support for Full HD+ displays with refresh rates up to 144Hz, delivering buttery-smooth visuals during gameplay and everyday scrolling. The integrated Adreno GPU comes equipped with Snapdragon Elite Gaming features, including Variable Rate Shading and Game Quick Touch technology, which reduce input lag and rendering delays for a more responsive gaming experience.

Advanced Camera and Connectivity

On the imaging front, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 supports up to 200-megapixel sensors and 2K video capture at 30fps, enabled by Qualcomm’s Spectra Image Sensor Processor. The chipset also incorporates hardware-level Multi-Frame Noise Reduction technology, ensuring clearer photographs even in challenging low-light conditions.

Connectivity receives a substantial upgrade with support for 5G Release 16, Wi-Fi 6E delivering speeds up to 2.9Gbps, and Bluetooth 5.4 with dual-antenna setup. The chipset supports LPDDR5X RAM at 3200MHz and UFS 3.1 storage, paired with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ for rapid charging capabilities.

Market Availability

While Qualcomm hasn’t officially announced launch partners, industry sources suggest brands including Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme, Motorola, and Vivo are expected to debut smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 in Q4 2025. These devices will likely target the sub-₹20,000 price segment, bringing premium features within reach of budget-conscious consumers.

The new chipset represents Qualcomm’s commitment to democratizing flagship-level technology, making advanced gaming, photography, and connectivity features accessible to a broader audience without premium price tags.
