Top-End B8 Variant Priced at ₹9.69 Lakh: Here's Everything New in the Updated Mahindra Bolero Lineup

Mahindra’s iconic utility vehicle gets a premium makeover with modern features while retaining its legendary toughness

Mahindra & Mahindra has officially launched the updated 2025 Mahindra Bolero lineup in India, introducing a new flagship B8 variant priced at ₹9.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The legendary SUV, which has dominated India’s rural and semi-urban markets for over 25 years, now comes equipped with modern comfort features and subtle design enhancements.

New B8 Variant Brings Premium Features

The spotlight of this update shines on the all-new B8 variant, marking the first time the Mahindra Bolero has been offered with such an extensive feature list. At ₹9.69 lakh, this top-spec variant brings a touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, steering-mounted audio controls, and premium leatherette seat upholstery that significantly elevates the cabin ambiance.

The Mahindra Bolero B8 variant also includes practical additions like USB Type-C charging ports, bottle holders on door pads, and integrated fog lamps for enhanced visibility. These updates reflect Mahindra’s commitment to modernizing the Bolero without compromising its core utilitarian character.

Complete Price Breakdown

The 2025 Mahindra Bolero range now comprises four variants catering to diverse customer needs. The base B4 variant starts at ₹7.99 lakh, making it India’s most affordable ladder-frame SUV. The B6 variant is priced at ₹8.69 lakh, while the B6 (O) comes in at ₹9.09 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

Notably, existing Mahindra Bolero variants have received price reductions ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹80,000, strengthening the model’s value proposition and making it more accessible to first-time SUV buyers.

Design Updates and New Colours

The 2025 Mahindra Bolero receives tasteful cosmetic enhancements while staying true to its rugged DNA. The front fascia now sports a revised 5-slat grille with vertical chrome slats, lending a premium appearance. Fresh 15-inch diamond-cut dual-tone alloy wheels add a contemporary touch.

The colour palette has been expanded with the introduction of Stealth Black—a first for the Bolero—alongside existing shades like Diamond White, DSAT Silver, Rocky Beige, and Lakeside Brown.

Proven Powertrain with Enhanced Ride Quality

Under the hood, the Mahindra Bolero continues with its reliable 1.5-litre mHawk75 diesel engine generating 75 bhp and 210 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The significant mechanical update comes in the form of Mahindra’s new ‘RideFlo’ suspension technology, engineered specifically for Indian road conditions, promising superior stability and improved handling across varied terrains.

Modern Interior and Safety Features

The Mahindra Bolero cabin receives meaningful upgrades focused on daily usability. From the B6 variant onwards, customers get an audio system, multi-functional steering wheel with mounted controls, and USB Type-C charging ports. The leatherette upholstery in higher variants adds comfort during long journeys.

Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, and seatbelt reminders as standard equipment across all variants.

Market Positioning

With its starting price of ₹7.99 lakh, the Mahindra Bolero positions itself as an affordable alternative to modern sub-4-meter SUVs. However, the Bolero’s unique selling proposition lies in its ladder-frame construction, proven reliability, and exceptional load-carrying capability—making it irreplaceable for small business owners and large families.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO – Automotive Division at Mahindra & Mahindra, stated: “The Bolero has earned its place as one of India’s most versatile and tough SUVs for over 25 years. With the new range, we’ve designed it to meet the aspirations of a dynamic New India.”

The 2025 Mahindra Bolero update represents a careful balance—modernizing the legendary utility vehicle while preserving the authentic toughness that has made it an icon in rural and semi-urban India.
