Exam Schedule and Certification
Despite the delay in registration, the examination dates remain unchanged. The STET 2025 is scheduled to take place from October 4 to October 25, 2025. Candidates who successfully clear the exam will be awarded a lifetime-valid STET certificate, which is a mandatory qualification for teaching positions in Bihar’s government secondary and higher secondary schools.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Bihar STET 2025, candidates must meet the following criteria:
For Secondary Level (Classes 9 and 10):
1) A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 50% marks.
2) A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree.
3) Integrated courses such as BA-B.Ed. or B.Sc.-B.Ed. are also accepted.
For Higher Secondary Level (Classes 11 and 12):
1) A Master’s degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 50% marks.
2) A B.Ed. qualification.

The application fee is as follows:
For Paper I or Paper II:
- ₹960 for General/EWS/OBC candidates.
- ₹760 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
For Both Paper I and Paper II:
- ₹1440 for General/EWS/OBC candidates.
- ₹1140 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
Important Notes
- There is no negative marking in the STET 2025.
- The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions.
- The STET certificate awarded upon successful completion is valid for a lifetime.
